It’s always been hard for me to write about you or for you. Whenever I think of you I always find myself questioning the existence of God. Why do the good ones die young?
Today is different though, I think of you and smile. I know you here, always in my heart. I know you watching over me. I know you are proud of me. Not because I am the greatest daughter but because you loved me. I know love because I was loved by you. I will never forget all you taught me, it’s what keeps me going. Knowing I am equipped to face the future, I know you are here. I see you in the little things. Like my craving for cake even though I don’t have a sweet tooth, my empathy, my gap, my eyes… It’s true girls that look like their dads are the prettiest.
I miss you dad but you live on in my heart. I thank you for your brains, I thank you for your patience, I thank you for teaching me self love. I love you dad. Given an opportunity to choose, I will choose you over and over again as my dad. You were the best father a girl can ever wish for. I love you dad
